In honor of the upcoming Valentine’s Day, I thought why not create a sign for your door or wall saying LOVE. With these supplies and simple steps, you could also make a “welcome” sign or other holiday greeting signs.
First, using these very inexpensive poster letters for stencils, I traced L, O, V, E with a pencil. One letter for each wood piece.
I purchased the wood pieces from amazon. They come with enough pieces you could make more signs!
Paint inside your trace letters. Pick a color that would match or compliment your ribbon color choice.
Using a hot glue gun, I attached these wood pieces to the burlap.
Trim the excess burlap. At the top of the burlap, I folded an inch of the top to make a hem, so it wouldn’t fray. Maybe you would like to skip this step, and like the look of fray- so many options! Then, I glued a matching ribbon to the top to make the sign be able to hang.
I also tied a bow and glued it to the bottom for a finishing touch.
