We just finished our Spring Women's Clothing Swap! It was a great turn out! If you missed it, don’t worry we are planning another swap in September 2017.
This is a guilt free shopping experience and gives you motivation to clean out the closet and add a few "new" used pieces! The swap works by dropping off gently used pieces of clothing or accessories to the museum. For each item you donate to the swap you receive one ticket. Max tickets you can receive is 10, but your welcome to donate more. More clothes the better! Leftover clothes from the swap will be donated. You can drop off the clothes during museum business hours the week before and week of event, or an hour before the swap and enjoy some wine at the cash bar or complimentary coffee.
Then at seven o’clock sharp the swap starts! Its also fun to see other people pick your old items you donated. You know those items are going to a good home and makes you feel better about giving up something you didn’t use to someone who will wear it!
Details of May 2017 Swap:
BEFORE THE SWAP:
You may bring in items to contribute to the swap starting on Monday, May 8th, during the museum's hours of Monday-Wednesday; 10am-4pm.
For each item (up to 10) you bring in, you will receive ONE ticket. You will use those tickets to shop the swap on the day of the event. Note-you may bring in more than ten items (the more clothing at the swap, the better!), but every person will only be given a max of 10 tickets to "spend" at the swap.
SWAP DAY:
6-7pm: clothing drop off and social hour (cash wine bar and coffee)
If you did not have a chance to drop off clothing prior to the day of the event, you may do so between these hours. Event volunteers will organize each piece.
7-8pm: CLOTHING SWAP! Shop till you drop!
