Coming up next week for Craft Night is a holiday creation using a few unused items you might find around your home. This is a great way to use your old or extra Christmas tree ornaments to decorate for the holiday season. Below are the steps to create your own craft. So many style options for this craft to match your home and style!
Simply take an old frame and remove backing and glass. Paint the frame.
Using a hot glue gun, glue your selected ornaments top on to the ornament, so it is extra secure for hanging.
Tie on a small ribbon or twine to the metal loop on top of ornament. Snip off excess ribbon.
Hot glue the ribbon to the top back of frame. I also put tape over the glue, just to make sure it was extra secure.
The top of frame was a little trickier. I wrapped twine around one corner twice and then wrapped twine around the top of frame to get to the opposite corner of frame and secured it to the other side by wrapping twine around twice. I had a a little help with the glue gun if the twine/ribbon wasnt staying where I wanted it to. . Make sure you left extra twine on both side, so you can hang your creation on the wall.
There are lots of differnt options of how this project will turn out style wise. Maybe your theme could be your favorite football team or perhaps a shabby chic glittery creation! Thats half the fun picking out the paint color, ornaments and ribbon! Have fun creating!
