This week's inside look is of Craft Night, formerly known as Ladies Crafts Night, even though we do have a few slip ups and still call it that every once in a while! We've changed the name, because although it's a class of predominantly women, we've had men attend and be interested in some of the crafts. So, men - you are welcome to join us!
This relaxed style of class is more of an independent class. All supplies and materials are provided along with a simple explanation of craft. More of an indpendent class and less step by step with instructor class allows you to craft at your own pace and chat with your friends. Grab a glass of wine for $4 and enjoy a creative night out!
We have a large selection of craft supplies from people who have graciously donated their craft materials or miscellaneous items to be repurposed. We also have been stocked with crafty materials from our founder of the Museum of Visual Materials, Dr. Rose Faithe. She was a collector or many items such as, buttons, fabric, beads, lace and so much more! They are great items to have a craft class, and make affordable for attendees at an admission of only $5.
September’s craft class was Pinterest inspired wine bottle crafts. We had quite the selection of empty wine bottles from the busy wedding season, that is almost coming to a close.
We had bins filled with miscellaneous items along with paint for attendees to create whatever style of wine bottle decoration they would like.
Attendees had examples of decorated wine bottles for inspiration that was provided and also had availability to look up ideas on their smart phone using our free Wi-Fi.
Lots of creativity was flowing! Check out these photos and get inspired yourself to create your own! See you next craft class!
