What an amazing summer we’ve had, both here at the Museum and in our beautiful community. There is so much happening in the Sioux Falls area, especially in Downtown Sioux Falls. If you don’t already, be sure to check out all the events that DTSF hosts. From Moonlight Movies to Block Parties to First Fridays, there are plenty of things for the entire family to enjoy! You can find out more on their Facebook page or website.
There are still a few spots open in some of our August summer camps sessions, including Art Camp for 5 year olds, Quilled Jewelry, Drawing (ages 11 and up), Painting (ages 11 and up), Pottery (ages 8 to 10) and (ages 11 and up) Short Stories, Asian Brush Painting and Haiku, String Art, Dream Art, Make a Monster, How to Draw: Horses and Dragons, and Work, Force and Motion. Register for camps here.
If you haven’t already, be sure to peek at our blog. Our staff write various posts each week on a variety of topics, including DIY crafts, museum happenings, weddings, fun activities and more. We also always looking for volunteer guest bloggers that may have something great to contribute to our community. If you are interested in guest blogging, reach out to Anna.
We know sometimes parking downtown can be an issue, but did you know that you can park at Falls Park and ride the Trolley, with one of the stops being right at our corner on 5th and Main! In addition, you can get a $1 Day Pass (5 and under are FREE) so you can check out all the fun stops throughout Downtown, including other museums, shops, and restaurants. More information on the Trolley, including map and schedule, can be found here.
As always, check out some of our upcoming classes and events on our website and social media channels and if you haven't already, be sure to LIKE us on Facebook to stay up-to-date with all of our activities and events and follow us on Instagram to see all of the fun things happening here.
