THANK YOU to everyone who supported us for Giving Tuesday. We’re excited to share that we reached our $600 goal for a new LEGO station, so you’ll be seeing 2 new multi-function tables soon! We hope you love them as much as we do! We were also the winner of prize pool money from South Dakota Gives - $2,000! This money will be used for our children’s activities and crafts. We are so grateful for the love we received – thank you.
We want to end the month with a few fun activities. Story & Craft on the 4th and 19th will have a Christmas theme. We also have a Design the Future classes, being taught through 4D EDU, on the 4th and 11th. Craft Night attendees will make cute decorative wood presents on the 5th. Maggie Sweet Photography Exhibit is on the 8th from 5-7. Children can make their way through our popular Obstacle Course on the 11th. Homeschool kids will have a painting class available on the 18th. To learn more about these events, including dates and registration information, visit our website or Facebook events page.
On December 13th, we will be hosting our annual Kid’s Christmas Party. Come and enjoy Selfies with Santa, games, and crafts at this family fun event. The event will happen between 5:30-7:00pm and you can get your free tickets through our website (one ticket per person). While it’s a free event, a $5-10 donation per family is suggested. Thank you for your generosity and support of our children’s activities.
One last event we want to share is from our newest program, Neighborhood Connections. The event is just for adults (21+) – Brews & Bagels, on Friday, December 7. Brews & Bagels is an opportunity for our community to connect with local brewers and immerse themselves in our awesome downtown beer culture. We’re partnering with Bagel Boy to pair their bagels and pretzels with the beer from five of our local breweries. Music from Studio B Jazz and live art from Marci Smith Studio Artist will happen as well. More information can be found on our Facebook event page. Get your tickets here for the fun event!
We will be taking a winter break between the holidays. The Museum will be closed from December 24th through January 1st. We will open again on Wednesday, January 2, for our kid’s activities.
We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We thank you so very much for your patronage and hope to see you soon.
