As the kids head back to school, we hope your child’s summer was enriched by their visit, play, and learning at the Museum. We also want to thank everyone for attending our many summer camps! We have a survey available for those who attended summer camps. If your child attended camp this year, please complete the short survey here. We appreciate your time to help make our summer camps awesome!
With the busy summer, we are running low on supplies in our craft area. If you have anything around your home or office that you could donate for this area, we would gladly accept it. We also take cash donations to help us purchase supplies. You can find more information on donations on our website.
We have many great activities coming up this month. We have a special Grandparent’s Day Craft on Tuesday, September 5 just in time for Grandparent’s Day. We’ll have our adult Craft Night on September 6. Story and Craft will start up again and be held on September 11 and 27. If you have any interest in these classes, be sure to check those out on our website and Facebook events!
We’ll have a new artist in our gallery for September and October. We’re excited to welcome back photographer Michael Daniels. The art reception for Michael’s work will be held next month, on October 20.
Did you know that we’re a site sponsor for the Sculpture Walk? Although many of the pieces are found along Phillips Avenue, there are two in front of our building, one at the corner of 5th and Main, and the other in front of our neighbor, AdWerks. Stop by to see it in person and visit SculptureWalk for more information on the other locations and sculptures.
Our 2018 calendar for private events and weddings is starting to book up, so if you know of anyone who is getting married next year, let them know about our venue! More information about our weddings/events can be found on our website, including available dates. We are also a popular spot for corporate Christmas and Holiday parties and still have dates available this winter. If you are interested in booking any type of event, reach out to our event coordinator, Kaitlyn, by email or call 271-9500.
We will be closed on Monday, September 4th for Labor Day. Otherwise, we look forward to seeing you on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday for our children’s activities in September!
We thank you so very much for your patronage and hope to see you soon.
