Create your own unique colorful bird out of paper with a few simple steps. Great for preschool age when learning about triangles. We use three triangles- two for the feet and one for the beak. Children can use their imagination to make their own species of bird using their favorite colors. This craft would go great with a story time about Spring or the Zoo.
Supplies:
Scissors
Glue
Colored Paper
Feathers
Marker to draw eye or paste a googly eye
Directions:
1). Create a shape of your bird and cut out. If your having trouble drawing the shape, cut out a coloring sheet of a bird for a silhouette.
2). Cut out 3 triangles, one for beak and two for feet and glue on body.
3). Draw on an eye or paste an eye on bird.
4). Glue on feathers.
It is fun to see how unique every ones turn out! Or make several and have a flock of colorful birds. Add another pop of color by gluing the bird on to a complimentary color piece of paper for a background.
