This is a simple autumn project that is great for your whole family to participate in for an annual Thanksgiving tradition. Every year your garland will grow more and more and will be fun to look back on what you were thankful for in years past. Especially for the little ones! It would also be fun to have Thanksgiving guests participate in expanding your thankful garland or used as a guest book for your holiday party.
My example is very quick and easy printed on printer paper. But you can definitely jazz up your thankful garland by printing the leaves with colorful cardstock paper and using different color markers. Also, you could add some faux leaves from a craft store to your thankful garland for some extra color. Let your imagination run wild!
Simply type in “printable leaves” on Google Image for a variety of leaf shapes to cut out. Then, write the year and what you are thankful for, along with your name for memory sake! I used a single hole puncher to create the holes for string to create the garland.
