Here is a boredom buster for your little one for this cold season! Inexpensive cotton balls are used to create a snowy look and kids love working with new textures, such as cotton!
This project also includes stickers. Who doesn’t love stickers? You can use any stickers you have around, I purchased mine through Discount School Supplies with lots of colorful options to decorate your wintery scene picture. Not only are stickers fun, they also have several benefits to kids working with them. If interested in more information on why teachers and occupational therapist like working with stickers, check out this link.
Supplies:
Glue
Black paper
Cotton balls
White crayon Stickers
Directions:
Unravel the cotton balls to lay your ground of snow.
Use a white crayon to create your wintery scene. Add your own snowflakes, maybe a snowy house in the back with snowy trees. If you are feeling up for the mess, add glitter!
Grab some stickers to decorate your picture perfect for a January scene!
Ask your little one to describe what they created. Who is driving the truck? Where is the helicopter going? Have fun!
