Great for keeping track of your phone and post-its on your counter or desk! They are fun to make out of toilet paper rolls and even more fun to decorate.
Supplies:
tape or hot glue gun
cardstock
ribbon or lace
toilet paper roll
scissors
utility knife
Directions:
1). Draw a 2 ¾ inch long by ½ inch wide pencil line on toilet paper roll. Just make sure it fits what you want you want to have in holder.
2). Slice it open with utility knife- you might find using a scissors to finish cutting works best.
3). Cut card stock 6in. long and 5 in. wide.
4). Glue one side of paper to line up with toilet paper cut. Roll paper around toilet paper roll. Cut two slits on one side of paper.
5). Tuck middle paper under roll. You might want to snip paper ends shorter, then glue ends on.
6). Trace bottom of roll onto paper (trace a bit larger than roll, so you can trim extra off side once its glued). Glue around rim of roll to attach to cut out.
7). Decorate with a trim if you’d like.
8). Push 4 thumbtacks in to balance toilet paper roll. Once you have the tacks situated well, secure them with hot glue. Warning: takes a few tries to get the tacks where you want them.
9). Add rocks or pennies to weigh toilet paper roll down.
