We got a little patriotic on Wednesday at Craft Night for the upcoming Fourth of July! We love creating simple Pinterest inspired crafts, especially for seasonal décor. This is great to be a little festive, but not break the bank at a store for a decoration you will only have out for a small amount of time.
We used a square piece of plywood, but really you could use any type of wood or shape. Paint your piece of wood blue and let dry. Using whit paint, you could use foam star shape stamps, stencils or free hand stars onto wood. We also grabbed some random buttons and hot glued them on to the stars for an extra touch.
Then, grab some old fabric to cut up strips of red and white fabric. Pattern fabric makes this craft look so fun! Use a hot glue gun to attach fabric strips to back of wood.
I used a stable gun to attach twine to the top of the back of wood in order to make the sign hang.
Simple, cute and just in time for the Fourth of July celebration!
If you haven’t been to Craft Night before, you must come check it out! Formerly, known as Ladies Craft Night- we dropped the Ladies from the title and everyone is invited 18yrs. and older!
Wine is served for those wanting a tasty treat after work or to perhaps kick start the creativity. We have the craft examples displayed, as well as all the supplies needed with plenty of variety of supplies to create your craft exactly how you would like it! This is more of an open craft station, but of course if you are needing more instructions on how to go about creating the featured craft, staff is happy to help or offer ideas!
Join us for next month's Craft Night, where we will be creating a candle holder from a terracotta pot!
